Shirley M. Dobias

March 24, 1931—July 10, 2021

Cornwall, NY

Shirley M. Dobias, of Cornwall, NY entered into eternal rest on July 10, 2021 at Park Manor Rehabilitation & Health Center, Wallkill, NY. She was 90 years old.

The daughter of the late Raymond Halvorsen and Isabelle (Clark) Halvorsen, Shirley was born on March 24, 1931 in Newburgh, NY.  

Shirley earned her Associate’s Degree and was a retired Librarian at NYMA in Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY.

Shirley was an active Member of St. Thomas of Canterbury Church in Cornwall-On-Hudson.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed.

Shirley was predeceased by her loving husband of 66 years, Theodore R. Dobias, in 2016.  She is survived by her son, Ted M. Dobias and his wife Lorri of Wallkill, NY; her daughter, Linda A. (Dobias) Dombroski and her husband, Gregory of the Town of Newburgh; two grandchildren: Kara and Bryan; and her great-grandchildren:  Bryan Jr, Shaelyn and Madison.

Based on new CDC guidelines adopted by NYS, fully vaccinated individuals do not need to wear masks or be socially distanced, but unvaccinated individuals must continue to wear masks and be socially distanced in the funeral home. 

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 21st at Quigley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc., 337 Hudson Street, Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 22nd at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, 340 Hudson Street, Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY.  Interment will follow the Mass at St. Thomas Cemetery, Cornwall, NY.

Rose Marie McNally

June 29, 1932—July 6, 2021

Cornwall, NY

Rose Marie McNally, of Cornwall, NY entered into eternal rest on July 6, 2021 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Suffern, NY.  She was 89 years old.

The daughter of the late Matthew Gray and Mary Ellen (Fitzpatrick) Gray, Rose Marie was born on June 29, 1932 in Bronx, NY.  

Rose Marie was a retired Postal Clerk for the U.S. Postal Service.  She was an active member of the St. Luke Catholic Church in Palm Harbor, FL and St. Thomas of Canterbury Catholic Church in Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY.

Rose was a devoted wife as well as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She will be missed greatly.

Rose Marie was predeceased by her loving husband: John E. McNally in 1983.  She leaves behind to treasure her memory, her daughter:  Margaret McNally Davalos and her husband Edwardo of Mexico City; her sons: Sean McNally and his wife Diana of Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY and Stephen McNally and his wife Rochelle of Oldsmar, FL; her grandchildren:  Brian and his wife Heather McNally, Kevin McNally and Connor McNally, John Davalos and his wife Fransheska, Diego Davalos and his wife Amber, Mercedes Rose Davalos and her husband Gerado; and several great-grandchildren.  In addition to her husband, Rose Marie was predeceased by her sister: Catherine A. Gray; and her brother: Daniel P. Gray.

Visitation was held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 11th at Quigley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc., 337 Hudson Street, Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY.  A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 12th at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, 340 Hudson Street, Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY.  Interment will follow the Mass at St. Anastasia Cemetery, Harriman, NY.
