Councilman Randy Clark wanted the town to relinquish its rights to Angola Road Park.

Michael Bazadona won $10,000 in the Mega Millions drawing.

Lt. Peter Miller demonstrated, to students at Cornwall-on-Hudson Elementary School, how an investigation is conducted.

Sara Waugh was named a United States National Award winner in science.

Marilyn Ann Vuksick was elected first vice-president of the YMCA High School Youth Council, State of New York.

Martin Quigley was selected to attend the State American Legion Boys State.

Sarah Brooks, Elmer Orr, and Lorraine Bennett announced their candidacy for the school board.

One hundred fifty firefighters responded to a dormitory fire at New York Military Academy.

The Museum of the Hudson Highlands’ museum association received a $3,000 grant from the Anne S. Richardson Fund of New York City.

A petition asked for a vote on village trustee salaries.

A peace group was organized to end United States involvement in Vietnam.

A luncheon was held to commemorate Stone Agency’s 25 years of representing the Traveler’s Insurance Company.

Lori Cameron won $250 in furniture in the Ethan Allen Young Decorator Contest. 

Kim Marie Andrews placed third in the New York State Championship contest for accordionists.
