Town Board holding special meeting

The Town Board is close to an agreement on its budget for the next fiscal year. After an Oct. 26 workshop, there were three issues to be addressed — the salary for the receiver of taxes, the allowance for a grant writer, and a vehicle for the Police Department.

The Town Board members completed work on the budget last night. They were able to add a new vehicle for the police force without going over the tax levy cap.

During a special meeting held Tuesday, the board denied a waiver request to return a gas station and convenience store on the corner of Route 9W and the Willow Avenue ramp.
