Workers repaint the Homestead

“We need the rain,” people have said after a series of dark and drizzly days. But the inclement weather added a week to the painting of the Sands Ring Homestead. The job took three weeks instead of two.

This afternoon the final surface was scraped and repainted. Manny Ruiz used a lift to get up to the second floor — the same lift that workers will use to protect the roof with a tarp.
