Joseph R. Hennessey

Joseph R. Hennessey, of Murrells Inlet, S.C., entered into eternal rest at home on May 23, at home. He was 61 years old.
The son of Joseph D. and Geraldine Fry Hennessey, he was born on Dec. 31, 1952 in Hackensack N.J.
Joseph was member of the Knights of Columbus in Cornwall and Murrells Inlet. He was a counter salesman for Swift Electric Supply in Nanuet and a member of the IBEW union in New York.
Joseph r. Hennessey is survived by his wife Elizabeth Fahy Hennessey of Cornwall-on-Hudson. Son Joseph Hennessey of Cornwall-on-Hudson, daughters: Elizabeth Steele and husband Dennis of Long Island, Katherine Hennessey of the Bronx and Margaret Hennessey of Boca Raton Fla.; sisters: Leslie Babcock and Susan Watson of Murrells Inlet S.C.; also Jessica Nelson of Cummings Ga.; grandchildren: Dennis, Emma and Jack Steele, Declan, Chloe, Tierney Hennessey Delaporte
The family received visitors on June 2 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home in Cornwall –on-Hudson. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, June 2 at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church in Cornwall-on-Hudson.
Marilyn Jane Pitcher Lane
July 19, 1931-May 23, 2014
Mrs. Marilyn Lane of Cornwall left our world to go be with her husband on May 23. She died peacefully at home with her daughter by her side. She was 82 years old.
The daughter of Thomas R. and Marian Pitcher, Marilyn was born in December 19, 1931 in Montrose, N.Y., and lived in Cornwall for most of her life.
Marilyn earned her B.S. in Elementary Education from SUNY New Paltz, formerly called the State Teachers College of New Paltz. She was an active member of the Arethusa sorority.
For nearly 30 years, Mrs. Lane was the beloved first grade teacher of many students at Cornwall Elementary on Lee Road.
Marilyn is predeceased by her husband (Charles Robert “Bob” Lane) and they always gave generously to many local and national charities and organizations, such as Habitat for Humanity, ASPCA, Occupations in Middletown, Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
“Marilyn Lane was a kind and generous person who loved her family and Nature dearly,” her family said. Many happy hours of her life were spent by the Hudson River and in Orleans, Mass. with her family. She gave tirelessly of herself and had many friends in the community. She will be missed greatly.
Marilyn Lane is survived by her children Thomas R. Lane of Cornwall, Jennifer E. Lane of Gulfport, Fla.; nephew Matthew Lane of Pennsylvania; niece Melissa Lane of Washington, D.C.; and nephew Jim Lane, his wife Gina Lane and their daughter Grace of Pennsylvania.
In accordance with her wishes, Mrs. Lane was cremated. Contributions in her name can be made to any local Habitat for Humanity chapter.
Victoria E. Spark
November 20, 1943-May 25, 2014
Victoria E. Spark, of Cornwall entered into eternal rest on May 25 at home. She was 70 years old.
The daughter of Peter and Nasha Bernaski Spark, she was born on Nov. 20, 1943 in New York City.
She was a sales representative for Polo Ralph Lauren Co. at Woodbury Commons, amd a member of St. Thomas of Canterbury Church in Cornwall-on-Hudson.
Victoria E. Spark is survived by her sister Linda Lukas of Cornwall, a cousin Ann Castiel and three nephews John, Erik and Kirk Lukas. She was predeceased by her parents
Her family received visitors on June 2 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home in Cornwall-on-Hudson. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on June 3 at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church.in Cornwall-On-Hudson. Burial followed in Holy Spirit Ukranian Catholic Cemetery in Campbell Hall.
