Joseph Olgin

February 9, 1931-October 26, 2013

Joseph Olgin died at his home in New Windsor on Oct. 26. He was 82 and a former resident of Westbury.

The son of Joseph and Mary Mundo Olgin, he was born in New York City on Feb. 9, 1931. He was retired after working in New York City as a lineman for Con Edison.

Survivors include his wife Gloria Gonzalez Olgin at home; his sons Gary Olgin of Lyons, N.Y. and Ron Olgin of Florida; his daughter Lisa Olgin Castelan; his grandchildren Shayna, Joseph, Andrew, Christina, Elizabeth, Jaclyn and Frank Olgin, and Broderick and Ananda Francis; and his great grand children Ariana and Aleena DeJesus.

The family received visitors on Oct. 29 at Quigley Brothers Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Oct. 30 at St. Brigid’s Church in Westbury and was followed by burial in Pinelawn Cemetery in Farmingdale.
