The son of the late Gerald Cibirka and Veronica (Dunajski) Cibirka, Richard was born on March 12, 1945 in Brooklyn, NY.  He was a passionate Brooklyn Dodgers fan as a young boy.

As a young man, Richard honorably and proudly served his country as a member of the US Air Force from 1963 through 1969 during the Vietnam Era.

Richard enjoyed the simplest pleasures in life. Besides his family, ‘Pop’ had a great love for his dogs and grand dogs. He enjoyed gardening and was able to get almost anything to grow. He was often outside tending to his wife’s beautiful flowers or his vegetable garden. He enjoyed quiet days listening to his radio while figuring out his crossword puzzles or sitting and listening to his family telling stories and laughing.
