Karen Monti Lindo

May 5, 1949—June 2, 2022

Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY

Karen Monti Lindo, of Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY entered into eternal rest unexpectedly on June 2, 2022 at Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh, NY.  She was 73 years old.

The daughter of the late Emil Monti and Mary (Tomassi) Monti, Karen was born on May 5, 1949 in New York City, NY.  

Karen was employed as a Historic Interpreter at the Washington Headquarters Historic Site in Newburgh, NY for over 20 years, a job that she enjoyed tremendously. She was a self-professed “George fan”. Karen was a Past President of the Newburgh Chapter of UNICO and also did volunteer work with the Purple Heart Museum in New Windsor, NY. She was a member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Rita #264.

Karen was very loving and devoted to everyone who was lucky enough to be in her life.  She never missed a birthday or the opportunity to sing “Happy Birthday”.  She will be missed beyond measure.

In addition to her parents, Karen was predeceased by her husband: Charles Lindo in 2012.  She is survived by dear cousins and friends: Colleen Pearce, Michael (Joan) Tomassi and John (June) Tomassi; and numerous second and third cousins. Karen was also predeceased by her second love: Richard Drago in 2021.

Based on new CDC guidelines adopted by NYS, fully vaccinated individuals do not need to wear masks or be socially distanced, but unvaccinated individuals must continue to wear masks and be socially distanced in the funeral home. 

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 9th at Quigley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc., 337 Hudson Street, Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. immediately following the Visitation at the Church of St. Patrick, 445 Route 32, Highland Mills, NY. Interment will follow the Mass at Ascension Cemetery, Airmont, NY.

Paul Vincent Milliken

July 26, 1953—January 5, 2022

Cape Coral, FL formerly of Cornwall, NY

Paul Vincent Milliken, a former Cornwall, NY resident entered into eternal rest on January 5, 2022 at Lee Memorial Health, Cape Coral, FL.  He was 68 years old.

The son of the late John Milliken and Louise (DiBari) Milliken, Paul was born on July 26, 1953 in Alexandria, VA.  

Paul was a 1971 graduate of Cornwall High School.  He moved to Florida in 1977 where he was a driver for UPS until he had a disabling accident.  Through his many challenges, he was always trying to help others.  Paul was a jokester, always teasing his nieces and nephews.  He loved them all and never forgot a birthday or any other special occasion.  Paul will be missed greatly by those surviving him.

Paul is survived by his sister: Judy (John) Carnright; his brothers: Michael (Patty), Keith, David (Sheena) and Mark (Laura) Milliken; his nieces: Amy (Anthony) DeRosa, Stephanie Carnright, Leah (Aaron) Cernick and Abbey Milliken; his nephews: Ian (Della), Daniel and Sam Milliken, Anthony Rewolinski; and by his great nieces: Aubree, Katie and Madilynn Rae.

Memorial Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 11th at Quigley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc., 337 Hudson Street, Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY.  A Chapel Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. following the Visitation. Inurnment will take place immediately following the Service at St. Thomas Cemetery, Cornwall, NY.
