A 16-year-old male from Monroe entered Cornwall Central High School on Monday morning to visit his girlfriend. He was discovered by a school employee and turned over to the police. The youth remained in their custody until he was released to his parents. He will have to appear in family court.
If he were an adult, he would have been charged with criminal trespass – a Class B misdemeanor. “There were on safety concerns,” Sgt. Doug Schofield of the Town of Cornwall Police reported. He said the young man was apprehended without incident. It appeared to be a case of bad judgment.
