Solveig C. Barton

February 19, 1934—March 5, 2022

Cornwall, NY

Solveig C. Barton, of Cornwall, NY entered into eternal rest on March 5, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family.  She was 88 years old.

The daughter of the late Anthony J. Congiglere and Eleanor (Dayton) Congiglere, Solveig was born on February 19, 1934 in Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY.

Solveig was a retired Store Associate for JC Penney in Newburgh, NY.

She was an active member of the Catholic Daughters, Court Rita.

A more loving, devoted wife one could not ask for. The most doting, supportive mother, a child could ever hope for. A sweeter, more thoughtful daughter and sister one could not be luckier to have. A more loyal and life-long friend, one could never make. Someone more compassionate and fierce in their faith, a religious community shall not find. Faith, Family, Friends; this was her intentions, her deeds, and her life. To have known her was to have known love; love of God, love of Family, and love of friends and community. She will be missed immeasurably.

Solveig is survived by her devoted husband: Robert J. Barton, Sr. at home; her daughters: Rondy Christine Barton of Lynchburgh, VA and Toni (Barton) Bouton of Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY; her sons: Robert J. Barton, Jr. of Maybrook, NY and Charles E. Barton of Middletown, NY; 7 grandchildren: Andrew Barton, William, Zachary, and Alexa Bouton, Nicole Solveig Barton, Marcus and Logan Barton; and by her sister: Joanne Blersch.

Due to the public health concerns of the Corona Virus (Covid-19), a Graveside Service at St. Thomas Cemetery was held privately.  A Memorial Service for Solveig will be held at a later date.  Please refer back to this website, www.Quigleybros.com, for further information.  On behalf of the family, thank you for your understanding and support during this difficult time.
