Alice A. Kehoe

March 25, 1948—September 23, 2021

Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY

Alice A. Kehoe, of Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY entered into eternal rest on September 23, 2021 at Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, with her daughters at her bedside. She was 73 years old.

The daughter of the late Albert Malkemus and Anna (Trinkle) Malkemus, Alice was born on March 25, 1948 in Poughkeepsie, NY.  

Alice was a retired Administrative Assistant for Greenwald Law Offices, PC in Chester, NY.

Alice fought a long and courageous battle.  She was a devoted mother and grandmother, an avid reader, and enjoyed spending time with her family. She had a smile that was infectious and could light up a room. She will be missed greatly.

Alice is survived by her devoted daughters: Kimberly (Kehoe) Poje and her husband Erik of Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY; Kelly (Kehoe) LaGrasta and her husband John of Wood-Ridge, NJ, her grandchildren: Juliana, Ryan, Jayden and Kayla; her brother, Albert Malkemus of Connecticut, and Bailey, her precious Siamese cat.

Based on new CDC guidelines adopted by NYS, fully vaccinated individuals do not need to wear masks or be socially distanced, but unvaccinated individuals must continue to wear masks and be socially distanced in the funeral home. 

Visitation was held from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 28th at Quigley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc., 337 Hudson Street, Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY.  A Chapel Service followed the visitation at 7:00 p.m.  Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope, NY. Inurnment in the family plot at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery will take place on Monday, October 4th at 11:30 a.m.

Robert F. Roth

December 30, 1933—September 21, 2021

Cornwall, New York

Robert Francis Roth, of Cornwall, NY passed away peacefully at his home on September 21, 2021, surrounded by his loving family members. He was 87 years old. Bob was born to William and Emma Roth on December 30, 1933, in Cliffside Park, NJ and moved to Beaver Dam Lake at the age of 12 where he resided until his death. He was predeceased by his siblings, Wilbur Roth, Harold Roth and William Roth. Bob married Virginia Floriano in 1957. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, his children Frances Roth Yatto (Thomas), James Roth (Jennifer) and Roberta O’Rourke (Timothy). He is predeceased by his son William Roth. He is survived by 8 grandchildren, Jill Colacicco (Patrick), Michael O’Rourke (Alexa), Danielle Fox (Zachary), William Roth (Jennifer), R.J. Roth, Joseph O’Rourke (fiancée Brittany Brennan), Catherine Roth, and John Roth, a great granddaughter and numerous loving cousins, nieces and nephews. A lifelong union supporter, Bob was a member of Locals 269 and 373 of the Plumber and Steamfitters Union since 1951. He served as Recording Secretary and Business Manager to Local 269 for 20 years, and as a Trustee of Locals 269 and 373 since 1960. He was proud for establishing the pension fund for members of Local 269 for whom he cared deeply. Bob was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church since 1945 serving as a lectern and a lifelong usher, as well as a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council No. 5890. As a lifelong resident of Beaver Dam Lake, he served as water superintendent for the Beaver Dam Lake Water Corporation for over 25 years and a member of the Board of Protection District for over 20 years. He also served in the National Guard and as a Constable for the Town of Cornwall. An avid fisherman and boater, some of Bob’s most enjoyable times were spent on the water. Bob took great pride in his blueberry and raspberry bushes which he nurtured with great care. He loved gardening and hunting, but one of his greatest pleasures was leading his wife Ginny around the dance floor where they often caused others to simply stop, watch, then applaud. Bob was a warm, loving family man of tremendous faith. All who knew him loved him and he never uttered an ill word towards anyone. He will be sorely missed.

Visitation was held Friday, September 24, 2021, from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North St, Washingtonville, NY 10992. A mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, September 25, 2021, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary’s Church, 42 Goshen Ave, Washingtonville, NY 10992 with internment to follow. In lieu of flowers it is requested that donations be made to the St. Mary’s Building Fund, St. Mary’s Church, 42 Goshen Ave, Washingtonville, NY 10992.
