Daniel M. Connor

October 11, 1952 – November 6, 2020

Cornwall

Daniel Michael Connor, of Cornwall, NY entered into eternal rest on November 6, 2020 at his home. He was 68 years old.

The son of the late Robert Connor and Jewel (Bretz) Connor, Daniel was born on October 11, 1952 in Waltham, Mass.  

Daniel was a retired truck driver for DHL Trucking in New Windsor. He honorably and proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps as a Lance Corporal during the Vietnam Era.

Daniel was an active member of St. Thomas of Canterbury Church in Cornwall-On-Hudson. He was a devoted father and most recently became a grandfather to his beautiful granddaughter, Michaela. Daniel will be missed beyond measure.

In addition to his parents, Daniel was predeceased by his loving wife: Elizabeth R. (Foy) Connor in 2016. He is survived by his devoted son: Sean P. Connor and his fiancée’ Melissa Rosas of Clifton, NJ; his granddaughter: Michaela; his sisters: Cathy Connor and Sheri Campeau. Daniel was also predeceased by his sister: Olivia Brice.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, November 13 at Quigley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc., 337 Hudson Street, Cornwall-On-Hudson. Due to the continued public health concerns of covid-19, please know that there is an occupancy limitation which may cause a wait time. Facial coverings must be worn in the funeral home at all times.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 14 at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, 340 Hudson Street, Cornwall-On-Hudson. Interment with Military Honors will follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery, 401 Walsh Road, New Windsor.

David M. Kaczor

November 16, 1959 – October 29, 2020

Cornwall

David Michael Kaczor, of Cornwall, entered into eternal rest on Oct. 29 at Putnam Hospital Center in Carmel. He was 60 years old.

The son of the late Bernard Michael Kaczor and Evelyn Ruth (Garvin) Kaczor, David was born on Nov. 16, 1959 in Cornwall.

David was a carpenter for the USMA, West Point, for more than 30 years. He honorably and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1978 to 1982 and rose to the rank of corporal.

David was a loving father and brother. He was a very generous and kind man who had a great sense of humor. His life was filled with the love of the outdoors; he found joy in camping, fishing, canoeing and sailing. David was also extremely creative and artistic, and in his quiet time enjoyed painting. His family will miss him incredibly.

David is survived by his loving daughter: Sarah J. Kaczor of Wappingers Falls; his sisters: Nancy Kaczor, his twin, Sharon Potter and her husband John, all of Cornwall, and Linda Bloomberg of New Windsor. David will also be remembered by his nieces and nephew as well as many friends and other extended family. In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his brother: Richard Kaczor in 2018 and nephew Jeffery Cummings in 1988.

A Graveside Service with Military Honors was due to be held at 11a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 12 at the Orange County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Craigville Road, Goshen. All were welcome.

Helen L. Scott

December 13, 1933 – November 5, 2020

New Windsor

Helen L. Scott, of Mountainville, NY went to heaven on Nov. 5, surrounded by her family’s love. She was 86 years old.

The daughter of the late Charles Pentz and Alice (Diggans) Pentz, Helen was born on Dec. 13, 1933 in Gardiner.  

Helen and her devoted husband shared a 70-year love story, and had a wonderful life full of laughter and children. Her greatest joy was caring for her family. She treasured her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and embraced every moment with them. She had a fun-loving personality. She will be in the hearts of her loved ones forever. She will be missed by her family, friends, and dear life-time friend, Betty Baker.

Helen is survived by her husband: Robert D. Scott, Sr. at home; her daughters: Linda (Joe) Corbett, Eva (Bob) James, and Tina (Mike) Thomas; her sons: Bob (Mary), Mike (Fran), Joe (Jill), Mark (Virginia), and Mickey (Karen); 27 grandchildren, and 28 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Helen was predeceased by her grandson: Alex Scott on March 16, 2020; and her sister and friend: Rhea Schwab; and her brothers and sister.
Services for Helen will be private. On behalf of the family, thank you for your understanding and support during this difficult time. Memorial contributions may be made to Mountainville Methodist Church or St. Jude’s.
