Barbara Ellen McMillen

December 21, 1946 – August 23, 2020

formerly of Cornwall-on-Hudson

Barbara Ellen McMillen, formerly of Cornwall-on-Hudson, entered into eternal rest at home on Aug. 23. She was 73 years old.

The daughter of the late Clifford Edwin Craig and Betty Jane (Pecotte) Craig, Barbara was born on Dec. 21, 1946 in Plattsburgh.  

She recently retired as a team operations assistant from the Army Athletic Association – U.S.M.A., West Point, where she was well respected and will be greatly missed. Barbara was a friend to all. Her boys are the men they are today because of her strength, love and sacrifices. Her colleagues at West Point referred to Barb as “our hero.”  She always found the good in everyone.  

Barbara was predeceased by her loving husband Leslie “Les” R. McMillen in 2018.

She is survived by her sons Craig McBath and his wife Melissa of Walden, and Brock McBath and his wife Kelly of Newburgh; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; her brothers Clifford Craig and his wife Joanne (Barb’s best friend) and John Craig and his wife Cheryl; her sisters Peggy Lackey and her husband Bumper and Amy Eiseman and her husband Andy; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Barbara was predeceased by her brother Scott R. Craig.

Memorial visitation was held on Aug. 29 at Quigley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc., 337 Hudson St., Cornwall-on-Hudson. Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope.

Robert ‘Bob’ Willis

July 11, 1938 – September 2, 2020

Cornwall, formerly of Highland Mills

Robert “Bob” Willis, a former Highland Mills resident, entered into eternal rest at his home on Sept. 2. He was 82.

The son of the late John D. Willis, Sr. and Elizabeth (Emmons) Willis, Bob was born on July 11, 1938 in Raritan Township, N.J.  

Bob was retired after working as a general foreman at Arvin Gym, U.S.M.A, West Point. He also worked as a security supervisor at the Woodbury Common Premium Outlets for 20 years and previously served as a part-time patrolman for the Town of Woodbury Police Department for 10 years.

The greatest joy of Bob’s life was his family. Whether helping with an at-home project or cheering his grandkids at sporting events Bob was always there. To know Bob was to know his family. Bob was a lifelong fan of the Mets, Cowboys and Army Football.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of over 60 years, Judith “Judy” E. (Cronk) Willis; his daughter Robyn L. (Willis) Brown and husband Peter; sons Michael E. Willis, Sr. and wife Karen and Robert A. Willis and wife Toni; six grandchildren – Kristie Babcock, Kelli, Sean and Matthew Brown, Robby Willis and Micky Willis; two great-grandchildren – Landon and Lilly Guido; two sisters – Janet Willis and Thelma DeLorenzo; his brother Sid Willis; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by his granddaughter Kari Brown; brothers Bucky and Tom Aumack and Jack and Jim Willis; and sisters Betty Kerns, Nina Kokh and Pat Ray.

Visitation was held on Sept. 6 and a funeral service was held on Sept. 7 at the Highland Mills United Methodist Church. Interment followed in the Cemetery of the Highlands, Highland Mills.
