At approximately 1:30 p.m., Cornwall Fire Department was called to assist with a brush fire in New Windsor off of Forge Hill Road.

The Storm King Engine Company extinguished a chimney fire just as it started extending into the walls of the DeFreest home on Clark Avenue in the Village.

Firefighters were called out for a second time this morning. This time seven trucks from Cornwall and Vails Gate responded to an attic fire on Roe Avenue.
