In preparation for a sidewalk project next year, Department of Public Works employees Tom Lyons, Kyle Halvorsen, and Wayne Yeoman recently removed tree roots along Hudson Street. The roots have raised portions of the sidewalk creating unsafe conditions for pedestrians. A $125,000 grant from Assemblyman James Skoufis for the repaving of Shore Road will free up village money to make sidewalk repairs.
