County Executive Steve Neuhaus expressed his regret today at the Thursday night passing of John McGuirk, a former Cornwall resident and a former Orange County Supreme Court Judge (2000-2011).
“John McGuirk will be remembered as an Orange County legend,” the executive said. Before his election to the Supreme Court, the judge served as a Town Justice in Cornwall and as judge in Orange County Family Court.
Judge McGuirk was an Army veteran, having served in the Judge Advocate General Corps at West Point. At the time of his passing, he was 76 years old.
