In keeping with tradition, American Legion Post 353 held its Veterans Day observance on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. Speakers for the day were Town Supervisor Richard Randazzo, Mayor Brendan Coyne, County Legislator Kevin Hines, 1st Sgt. Robert Blum of NYMA and Post Commander Pete Kurpeawski.

Chaplain Joe Hanley offered the invocation and benediction. Zach Hommel played “Taps” after wreaths were placed at the monument by the Highland Engine Company, the local police chiefs and American Legion Post 353.
