Alexander Montana Lefkowitz

May 12, 1986-June 22, 2018

Newburgh

Alexander Montana Lefkowitz, of Newburgh entered into eternal rest on June 22 in Newburgh. He was 32 years old.

The son of Harry Martin Lefkowitz and Bernadette A. (Montana) Lefkowitz, Alex was born on May 12, 1986 in Belleville, N.J.

Alex was a Software Engineer for Rachel Rolf Enterprises in California.

His love to create was an inspiration to anyone who knew Alex. With a personality that could shine in any room, he was a presence you could never forget. A man who values intelligence and humor over anything, he was never afraid to speak his mind. This is almost outshined by his ability to teach others. And his remarkably soft demeanor to all the animals he loved. Where ever he was, people always knew the man with the answers. He will be remembered for his overwhelming thirst for knowledge and his wonderful sense of humor. The world has lost a great mind. He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, Alex is survived by his brothers: Jonathan Lefkowitz of Brooklyn and Andrew Lefkowitz of Ramsey, N.J.

Memorial visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on July 1 at The Kirkwood House, 146 Bayview Avenue, Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY. A Funeral Service will be held immediately following the visitation at 2 p.m. Cremation took place at the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, in Poughkeepsie.
