Susan F. McCauley

Highland Falls

Susan F. McCauley of Highland Falls, passed away at home on Tuesday, June 12. She was 59.

Daughter of Thomas G. McCauley and the late Mariane DiPalermo McCauley, she was born in Mt. Vernon, on March 9, 1959. Susan was a former receptionst at Alan Lamer Law Offices in Elmsford.

Survivors include; her father: Thomas G. McCauley of Peekskill; her son Michael Foley of Highland Falls; her daughter Bianca Rodriguez of Chapel Hill, NC; her step-sons Raul Rodriguez of Coconut Creek, Fla. and  Alvaro Rodriguez of Arlington, Va.; her brothers Adam McCauley of Cortlandt Manor, Peter McCauley of Mahopac, and Paul McCauley of Danbury, Conn.; her sister Linda McCauley Freeman of Marlboro; two grandchildren Zachary and Abby Foley; and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service was held on June 16 at William F. Hogan Funeral Home, 135 Main St., Highland Falls.  Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope.

Arrangements were handled by William F. Hogan Funeral Home.

Isabella Rosario

June 29, 1967-June 13, 2018

Cornwall

Isabella Rosario, of Cornwall entered into eternal rest on June 13 at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh. She was 50 years old.

The daughter of the late Armando Salerno and Rocchina (Blandamuro) Salerno, Isabella was born on June 29, 1967 in Manhattan.

“Isabella was full of life and love,” her family said. “Cooking for her family and friends was a great passion of hers—one of her greatest joys in life was seeing her family together at the dining room table. She also loved music and going to concerts any chance she had. Isabella will be greatly missed by her family and friends.”

In addition to her mother, Isabella is survived by her husband Ricardo Rosario; her daughters Alexandra R. Kelly and her husband Michael, Samantha J. Rosario, and Veronica R. Rosario; her brothers Giuseppe (Joey) Salerno and wife Ginger, Gaetano (Tommy) Salerno, and Leonardo (Lenny) Salerno and wife Madeline. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and grand-nephews. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Antoinette.

Memorial visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 23 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St. Cornwall-on-Hudson.  A chapel service will follow the visitation.  Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Isabella’s name to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 1500 Rosecrans Avenue, Suite 200, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266  or the American Cancer Society, 121 Executive Drive #200, New Windsor, NY 12553.

G. William Satterly

July 28, 1926-June 7, 2018

Cornwall

G. William Satterly, of Cornwall entered into eternal rest on June 7 at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh.   He was 91 years old.

The son of the late George S. Satterly and Caroline (Chase) Satterly, George was born on July 28, 1926 in Newburgh.

George “Bill” was the retired Owner of J & B Satterly Construction in Cornwall.

He was an active member of the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, volunteering many hours to maintain the buildings and grounds. He was a fixture at the annual church fair and barbeque. He also served as an elder and trustee.

“Dad was a religious man,” his family said. “He lived by his faith.  He also had a sense of adventure and taught us to love the outdoors – to ski, hike, bike, snowshoe and canoe. His entertaining stories were full of humor and he often laughed the hardest.  He will be missed greatly.”

In addition to his parents, George was predeceased by his loving wife, Vivian J. (Smith) Satterly.  He is survived by his daughters:  Karen L. Staples of Cornwall, and Faye A. Satterly of Charlottesville, Va.; his son: Donald W. Satterly of Newburgh; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and his sister: Mary Rice of Goshen.

A service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 23 at the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, on the corner of Route 94 and Jackson Avenue in Salisbury Mills.  Rev. Martha Carlson will officiate.

Memorial Contributions in Bill’s name may be made to the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church.

Patrick Paul Trotta

September 5, 1918-June 6, 2018

Cornwall

Patrick Paul Trotta, of Cornwall, entered into eternal rest on June 6 at the Schervier Pavillion in Warwick. He was 99 years and 9 months old.

The son of the late Joseph Trotta and Sophie (nee Semjeck) Trotta, Patrick was born on September 5, 1918 in New York City.

Patrick honorably and proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II serving in Guam and Iwo Jima. He was a long term resident of New Jersey and was a physical therapist, working in hospitals and owning his own practice in Fair Lawn.

He served as president of the NJ Physical Therapy Association and was an active member of the Lions Club, Toastmasters, the Italian-American Club, and many other professional and civic organizations.

Patrick is survived by his son: James Trotta; his daughters: Linda Woods (John) and Ann-Marie; daughter-in-law: Terry Trotta; grandchildren: John (Dana), Walter (Lisa), Allison, Brian (Melissa), Kelly (Jason) and Sarah (Dan); great-grandchildren: Abigail, Kourtney, Gavin, Alexa, Zoe, and Jake; stepsons: Jim Martucci, Joe Martucci (Renee); his “adopted” grandchildren:  Dana, Neil, Danielle, Jamie and “great grandson” Zak.

Patrick was predeceased by his wives: Mary (Cubeta) and Mary (Tallini Martucci) and former wife, Agnes (Hynes) and his sons: Kevin Trotta (Terry), Patrick Trotta (Wanda) and Joseph Trotta and daughters-in-law, Mimi Trotta (James) and Rona Martucci (Jim).

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, June 22 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 5 Willow Tree Road, Monsey, NY.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to Black Rock Forest, 65 Reservoir Road, Cornwall, NY 12518.
