Jennifer Jean Breeden

April 26, 1977-May 29, 2018

Virginia

Jennifer Jean Breeden of Penn Laird, Va., entered peacefully into rest on the morning of Tuesday, May 29. A long-time resident of the Shenandoah Valley, she was born Jennifer Jean Langer in Newburgh on April 26, 1977.

Jennifer is survived by her husband, Steven Breeden, her daughter, Mackenzie Noelle Darby, and her parents, Myron and Jean Langer, all of Virginia. She is also survived by her brother, Michael Langer, her niece, Morgan, and her nephew, Austin, all of Cornwall-on-Hudson.

Other cherished family includes her aunt and uncle, Pamela and Richard Cornell of The Villages, Fla.; mother-in-law, Ruby Breeden, and brother-in-law Christopher Breeden, of Elkton, Va.; aunt, Donna Cornell-Werner of Cornwall-on-Hudson; and her dear friends and honorary sisters Morgan Smith and Erin Staebell of Virginia.

Jennifer graduated from Cornwall Central High School in 1995. She was a member of the Mary Baldwin College class of 1999, achieving a B.A. in Theater and Music. She later attended Piedmont Virginia Community College, and proudly became a Registered Nurse in 2015. She enjoyed a talent for flower arrangements, music, theater, and sharing her abundant love with her many animal children. Cookie, Belle, Athena, Romeo, Lightning, Muffin, Mittens, and Zeus have been blessed with her huge heart – and her complete inability to say “no” to anything furry.

Jennifer was laid to rest on June 1 within Eastlawn Memorial Gardens in Harrisonburg, Va. in the presence of her friends and family. Donations may be made in her remembrance to the Shenandoah Valley Animal Services, 1001 Mt. Torrey Road, Lyndhurst, VA 22952.

An additional memorial service celebrating Jennifer’s life will be held on June 30 at 4 p.m. at the Cornwall United Methodist Church, 198 Main Street, Cornwall, NY 12518. A reception will follow the service in the fellowship hall.
