Denis J. O’Keefe III

October 9, 1992-February 22, 2018

Lancaster, Penn.

Denis J. O’Keeffe, III, of Lancaster, Penn. entered into eternal rest on Feb. 22 in Lancaster.  He was 25 years old.

The son of Denis J. O’Keeffe, Jr. and Brigitte Grom, Denis was born on Oct. 9, 1992 in Newburgh.  He was the grandson of Ellen and Denis J. O’Keefe Sr. of Cornwall.

Denis was a proud Eagle Scout and loved to play his guitar.  He was a very loving and devoted son and grandson, and was fortunate to have developed many true and lasting friendships during his life.  He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents and paternal grandparents, Denis is survived by his sisters Brooke and Sofia, and his brother Aaron.

Visitation was held on Monday, Feb. 26 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home in Cornwall-on-Hudson.  A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Feb. 27 at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church in Cornwall-on-Hudson, and was followed by interment at Woodlawn Cemetery in New Windsor.

Bryan V. Weyant

December 16, 1957 – February 23, 2018

formerly of Highland Falls

Bryan V. Weyant (“Farm”) passed away Friday, Feb. 23 in Gardiner, with his beloved long-time companion Denise Lippolis and his dogs, Audi and Stan, by his side.

Son of the late Vincent Weyant and Esther Ten Broeck Weyant, he was born Dec. 16, 1957 in Highland Falls, where he resided for a long time.  He was a member of the Rod Benders Car Club in Highland Falls, and one of the founding members of the Bear Mountain Car Show, an event that started with 11 cars and has grown into a large-scale weekly event.

He is survived by his beloved companion  Denise Lippolis at home; Denise’s daughter Ashley Lippolis of Philadelphia; brothers Frank Wisniewski of Highland Falls, Leo Wisniewski, Vincent “Ken” Weyant, Jr.;  and sisters Patricia Elliot and Esther Weyant.

He is predeceased by his sister Teddy Curtis.

Bryan was known and loved by many.  He challenged cancer with wit and strength, and taught others the best way to deal with this deadly disease.  Many who knew him will agree that in spite of his battle, he was able to put a smile on other people’s faces.  His weekly gathering of cars at Nu Cavu on Thursdays fulfilled his goal of getting people together and having some fun.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, March 1 at Sacred Heart Church, Highland Falls. Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope.
