Team to spend third night in Minisink

Cornwall players and fans have been spending a lot of time in Minisink this week. Last night’s game between our 9-10 All Stars and Minisink-Otisville never got finished.

It started almost an hour and a half late, because the umpires were stuck in the traffic jam caused by a fatal accident on Route 84.

By the fifth inning, with the score tied 11-11, it was too dark to continue.  The teams will return to the field tonight, with the winner claiming the district championship.

That means that local families will be driving to Minisink for the third night in a row. On Tuesday night, they enjoyed the trip as the Dragons defeated their hosts 14-1.
