Cornwall’s youngest baseball team is vying for a district championship this week. The 9-10 boys defeated Warwick in extra innings last night to advance to the finals of their age group. The boys are playing Minisink-Otisville tonight in a game that starts at 5:30 p.m. in Minisink.
If the home team wins, the tournament will end and the Dragons will have to settle for second place. If the Dragons are successful, the teams will meet the following evening, and the winner will receive the championship banner.
Since losing its first game of the tournament, the Dragons have defeated seven opponents in a row.
