There were some good photo opportunities this week. The Class of 2016 held its senior prom at Anthony’s Pier 9 on Thursday night. As prom-goers arrived, faculty advisor Jacques Ponsolle checked their names against a master list.
Willow Avenue School had ideal weather for its field day on Friday. At one of the many stations in the morning, volunteers rolled a huge inflatable ball over a line of students lying on their backs.
On Friday night, the Mets won the Little League championship by defeating the Cardinals two games to one. On this play, Matt Cavallo tagged out Marco Olavarria (7) on a throw from Greg Shaw in center field.
