Officer Hal Desjardines will receive an Exceptional Service Award when the Cornwall-on-Hudson trustees meet on Monday night.
Chief Steve Dixon recommended the part-time officer for the honor, and cited his contributions to the department. Officer Desjardines made 53 arrests and wrote over 270 vehicle-traffic summonses last year. He has been with the department for a year and a half.
