Remember the Storm King eighth-graders who are trying to create their own scholarship for an area student?
The youngsters first fund-raising venture is turning into a success. They’ve organized a Talent Show for singers called “The Battle of the Belters.” Although the event was snowed out on Jan. 23, it’s been rescheduled for 7 p.m. on Feb. 6, and 175 tickets have been sold.
With a week to go, the enterprising students may get a capacity crowd at the Walter Reade Jr. Theatre next Saturday night.
