Holiday visitors kept waiting at the gate

The Town Recreation Department hosted its annual bus trip to the holiday show at the Eisenhower Hall Theatre in West Point on Dec. 6.

But the passengers spent more time in the bus than at the theatre. There was a back up at the gate, with security officers and their dogs checking the trunk and hood of every vehicle.

Door to door, the  trip took more than two hours. When the Cornwall seniors finally got inside the building, the show was almost over.

The ride going home was much better. The bus parked at Munger Cottage, where the group had a light dinner.
