Cornwall’s female soccer players paid tribute to Coach Glen McGinnis (1934-2015) before today’s game at the middle school. Members of the varsity, junior varsity and modified soccer teams wore turquoise ribbons to symbolize the fight against stomach cancer.
Players from Cornwall and Minisink gathered in a circle at the center of the field, while Modified Coach Taryn Brechbiel reflected on her predecessor’s contribution to the community, and asked the players and fans to observe a moment of silence.
Several members of the McGinnis family were present for the tribute.
