Ellen P. Allen

September 14, 1928-December 15, 2014

Ellen P. Allen of Beacon, a long-time member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Cornwall, entered into eternal rest on Dec. 15. She was 86 years old.

The daughter of William and Nellie Rose Teetsell, she was born on Sept. 14, 1928 in Catskill, N.Y. Ellen was a retired machine operator  for Charter Supply, Inc.She was a loveable and self giving person, who loved to give hugs and kisses to all.

Ellen was a member of Cascade-Vassar Chapter #347 Order of the Eastern Star, and a past District Deputy of the Order of Rebekahs. She was predeceased by her husband Clinton E. Allen, Sr.

Survivors include her children Donald and Janet Faulkner, of Valatie, Richard and Susan Faulkner, of Valatie, and Clinton Allen and Kevin Kincade, of New Windsor; her siblings Gertrude and Al Keller, Clyde and Elaine Teetsel, Alfreda McMurray, and Vera and Jerry Whitman; also surviving are four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family received visitors on the morning of Dec. 20 at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Cornwall. An Eastern Star service was held at 11:30 am. And Rev. Suzanne Toro officiated at the funeral, which followed the viewing.

Ellen was buried on Dec. 22 at Mellenville Union Cemetary. The family is requesting donations be made to St. John’s Episcopal Church for their capital campaign. 66 Clinton St. Cornwall NY 12518.
