If you don’t have plans for Sunday, Dec. 8, you’re welcome to Celebrate the Season on Main Street.
The Greater Cornwall Chamber of Commerce is hosting a community event from 3 to 5 p.m. The lineup of activities includes:
-an old-fashioned horse and wagon ride down Main Street
-light refreshments in local shops
-music by church choirs and carolers
-fresh cut Christmas tree sales at the Highland Engine Company Fire House
-the Lions Club sale of wreaths and roping on Main Street
The celebration will lead up to the 5 p.m. lighting of the Christmas tree at the circle. Soon after the switch is thrown, Santa Claus will arrive and join the other guests at the fire house for cider, donuts and coffee.
