Milada (Millie) Hutto

Milada was known as Millie most of her life.
Born in Manhattan on Jan. 7, 1926, she was the daughter of Albert and Maria Vanecek, who immigrated from Czechoslovakia after World War I. She was raised in East Islip and later lived and attended high school in Highland Falls, where she graduated with honors, earned a scholarship to Lady Cliff College and met her future husband, Merl, who was then a cadet at West Point.
Milada and Merl were married at West Point on June 5, 1946 and were together until her death on March 21, 2013. They lived in several places until Merl retired with over 30 years service and the family moved back to a home in Cornwall-on-Hudson, where Milada lived for 34 years.
Survivors include her husband Merl G Hutto at home, son Todd V. Hutto and his wife Vanessa of Huntsville, Ala.; daughter Tiffin L. Despres and husband Louis of San Antonio, Texas; sister Helen Yagel of Highland Falls, N.Y.; grandchildren: Andrew Hutto, Morgan and Christopher Hutto, Robert Domitrovich , Adam Despres , Aubrie Despres and Darcie Despres: Great grandchildren Ella Despres and Keaton Hutto . She was predeceased by her son Troy L Hutto.
The family received visitors on Friday, March 29 at Quigley Brothers Funeral Home in Cornwall-On-Hudson. Services were held at the Old Cadet Chapel, West Point in the Post Cemetery on April 3 and were followed by burial.
