The Cornwall Conservation Advisory Council and the Town of Cornwall will be planting a Scarlet Oak tree on the grounds of Sands Ring Homestead on April 21 at 4 p.m. as part of the Town’s annual observance of Arbor Day.
Mrs. Powell’s kindergarten students are likely to remember Arbor Day for a long time. They planted a tree on April 25 and now they’re taking care of it.
Children are important to the celebration of Arbor Day, so it seemed only fitting for the preschoolers from Butterhill Day School to be in attendance at the Town of Cornwall’s Arbor Day ceremony last Friday.
