The Cornwall Central School District recently held our Cornwall Cares Committee to discuss previous events within the District, as well as to plan an upcoming district-wide Wellness Day.
On Feb. 6, Orange-Ulster BOCES held its annual Career and Technical Education Media Day, in conjunction with National Career and Technical Education Month.
The year began with record-breaking English Language Arts and Math state assessment scores that resulted in our Grades 3-8 being ranked in the top 7% of New York State.
The state recently released the results of its math and ELA tests for grades 3-8. There’s a tendency to compare the performance of neighboring districts, but the tests have another function.
“Potential leaders.” — That’s the type of student that the Junior Leadership Orange program (JLO) looks for. This year, seven students from the Highland Falls Intermediate School and one from the Cornwall Central Middle School have been selected to participate in the program.
