Caroline Staudle became the 51st winner of the Butch Kent Memorial Award when she received the trophy and a scholarship check on June 17. The Kent Award is the highest honor given to a graduating Cornwall athlete.
It’s a good thing the Cornwall Historical Society wasn’t in a hurry. Soon after it was formed, the organization received its provisional charter from the state on Nov. 10, 2000.
The Town Board focused on Route 32 at its June 10 meeting. The board was hoping to ease the traffic jams caused by the bridge repairs, and was taking steps to acquire the Hand property that wraps around the highway garage.
