(Photo by Jason Kaplan) – Not to be forgotten during the COVID-19 pandemic, Mother Nature unleashed some fury of her own on Monday in the form of wind, with gusts near 60 miles per hour. It felled trees on Rt. 9W between Cornwall and Highlands; pushed over tractor trailers on I84; downed utility poles and wires leaving several hundred local residents without power; knocked over signs; and left branches strewn across roadways, homes and yards. Here, Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson Department of Public Works employees helped remove a very pretty tree which fell on a Hudson St. home.
