(Photo by MJ Pitt) - The weather was absolutely perfect for the first week of the Cornwall Farmers Market, and folks turned out, including a slew of toddlers who took part in the Cornwall Youth Garden Club’s StoryTime, as shown here. Michelle Noel handled the book reading at the event, while the youngsters enjoyed some sensory play. Around them, adults were shopping for early produce, flowers, pantry staples and more. While the Market takes place every Wednesday, the next StoryTime is at 11 a.m. on June 5.

Contaminated soil carted onto Destinta property 
New Windsor News: At the most recent New Windsor Town Board meeting, Supervisor Stephen Bedetti reported the owner of the Destinta Theater property was issued another stop work order when it was discovered contaminated soil was carted to the site and mixed with construction debris in an attempt to bury the materials and regrade the site. Page 7

San Miguel adds new shell to it’s fleet

On May 8, Newburgh’s San Miguel Academy held a boat launching ceremony, at Donahue Memorial Park, to christen and launch its new racing shell, the Lucy D, which was donated by Patrick Donnelly in honor of his wife, Lucy. Page 8
