(Photo by Jason Kaplan) - Around noon on Saturday, Cornwall EMS was dispatched to Wood Avenue for an approximately 10-year-old with a serious stomach injury sustained during a bicycle accident. Cornwall-on-Hudson Fire Department set up a landing zone behind Cornwall-on-Hudson Elementary School and the patient was flown to the nearest pediatric trauma center at Westchester Medical Center.

CCTA announces Crevling winners

The Cornwall Central Teachers’ Association announced the recipients of the Barbara Crevling Memorial Grant for the Arts 2023. In its 42nd year, the grant is awarded to one Cornwall School District twelfth grade student and two fifth grade students. Page 1

Robert Ruger hired as new village police sergeant

Robert Ruger was sworn in as the new sergeant of the Cornwall-on-Hudson Police Department last week. Ruger, a 1st sergeant in the U.S. Army, has over eight years of experience in law enforcement. Page 1

Food drive Sept. 2

Bear Mountain Park remains closed 

As of last Friday, Bear Mountain State Park was still closed, officials said, due to damage from a heavy rainstorm and flash floods on Sunday, July 9. Page 9
