Edward Maclean Johnson

Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY

Edward M. Johnson entered into eternal rest on September 5, 2022. He was 81 years old.

The son of the late Victor P. Johnson, Sr. and Stella (Kane) Johnson, Edward was born on November 11, 1940 in Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY.

Edward proudly served in the US Navy (1959-1961) and the US Marines (1965-1969). He was a retired civil service employee from United States Military Academy, West Point, NY.

Edward was a life member of Storm King Engine Company #2 and a member of the Storm King Volunteer and Exempt Fireman’s Benevolent Association. He was a life member of Black Rock Fish and Game Club and a member of American Legion Post #1796.

Edward is survived by his sisters-in-law: Ann Johnson and Hildegard Johnson; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers: Thomas, Victor Jr, John Sr., William, Robert and Stephen; and his sister Margaret Strom. 

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 10th at Quigley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc., 337 Hudson Street, Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY. A Chapel Service will be held at the funeral home after visitation. Interment will follow the service at Will Dell Cemetery, Cornwall on Hudson, NY.

Lorraine Emma Radler-Ziegler

August 14, 1936—September 1, 2022

Jamesville, NY formerly Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY

Lorraine Emma Radler-Ziegler, a former long-time Cornwall-on-Hudson resident, entered into eternal rest on September 1, 2022 at Iroquois Nursing Home in Jamesville, NY.  She was 86 years old.

The daughter of the late Herbert Oscar Harzer and Nellie Pauline (Hansen) Harzer, Lorraine was born on August 14, 1936 in Pennsauken, NJ.  She graduated from Merchantville High School in 1954, and received her certification as an American Dental Assistant in 1956.

“Lori” was a retired Librarian Clerk for the Cornwall Public Library in Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY.  She also worked for many years at the USMA Bookstore in West Point, NY.

Lori was an active member of the Cornwall Presbyterian Church, an Elder, and volunteered each fall for its Apple Time Fair and many other committees.  She and her husband, Amos, also served on Cornwall’s 4th of July Committee for over a decade.  Prior to her volunteer efforts in Cornwall, Lori served as the President of the Alter & Hospital Guild for the West Point Cadet Chapel and as Docent for the Constitution Island Association at West Point.  She was an avid reader and gardener, loved board games and enjoyed traveling and camping throughout her entire life with family and friends.  Lori was a ray of sunshine, whose smile and positivity touched everyone she met.  She will be greatly missed.

Lorraine was predeceased by her second husband: Amos H. Ziegler, Jr. in 2020, and by her first husband, Lt. Col. Charles M. Radler in 1975. She is survived by her children: Charles M. Radler, Jr. and his wife Diane, Michelle (Radler) Ulm and her husband David, Amos Ziegler, III and his wife Jo Marie, and Jennifer (Ziegler) Obregon and her husband Maynor; six grandchildren: Ethan James Ulm, Chelsea-Leigh Radler, Melissa Rae Ulm, Dylan Charles Ulm, Courtney Ana Obregon and Zoe Xin Lin Ziegler; and one great granddaughter, Aubrey Rene Ulm.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6th at Quigley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc., 337 Hudson Street Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY.  A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 7th at the Cornwall Presbyterian Church, 222 Hudson Street, Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY.  Interment will follow at Orange County Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Goshen, NY.

 In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cornwall Presbyterian Church.
