Stephen Ronald Adamo

June 28, 1958—June 4, 2021

Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY

Stephen Ronald Adamo, of Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY passed away on June 4, 2021 at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY.  He was 62 years old.

The son of Ronald Anthony Adamo and Donna Fortune (DeConte) Adamo, Steve was born on June 28, 1958 in Mount Vernon, NY.  

Chef Adamo graduated from Culinary School at Johnson and Wales University, Summa Cum Laude and worked at several restaurants in Sullivan County and most recently at Schlesinger’s Steak House in New Windsor, NY.

Steve will be missed by his parents in Frisco, TX, his wife Mary Ann McGinnis-Adamo and son Nicholas Stephen Mackey Adamo at home, his siblings and outlaws Karen Prusa, Richard (Linda) Adamo, David (Kris) Adamo, Michele and Paul Wallace, and Lauren Adamo, Sheila (Chris) Marhefka, Mike (Ann) McGinnis, Kitty and Gary Fiorello, and Matt (Kim) McGinnis, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by his In-laws Glen and Margaret McGinnis.

Based on new CDC guidelines adopted by NYS, fully vaccinated individuals do not need to wear masks or be socially distanced, but unvaccinated individuals must continue to wear masks and be socially distanced in the funeral home. Please know that there is an occupancy limitation which may cause a wait time.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 18th at Quigley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc., 337 Hudson St. Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 19th at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, 340 Hudson Street, Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope, NY.

Robert W. Ferris

December 30, 1926—June 9, 2021

New Windsor, NY

Robert “Bucky” “Bob” William Ferris, Sr. of New Windsor, New York peacefully passed away the morning of June 9, 2021 at Valley View, Goshen, New York at the grand age of 94.  He was born on December 30, 1926 at his Aunty Betty’s home in Rock Tavern, the oldest son of Courtney Ellison and Loretta Dobbins Ferris.  He grew up on the Ferris Farm on Sarah Wells Trail/Shea Road in Campbell Hall.  He loved all aspects of farming except milking the cows!!

Robert was a jack of all trades – worked in a factory in Newburgh, was a milk man for Petelinz Milk Company, was employed at Nicklin’s poultry farm, owned and operated gas stations in Newburgh, Cornwall and New Windsor, a small engine master repair man, parts manager for over 30 years at Newburgh Park Motors and building and maintenance at Barton Chevrolet in Newburgh retiring for the second time from there.  He was an usher at St. Francis of Assisi Church for many years.

Robert married the love of his life, Rose Elizabeth Vesely at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Newburgh on July 20, 1947.  They were married 47 years until her death in 1995.  Together they raised a family of seven children who survive him:  Jeanne (Felix) Versweyveld, Debra (Raymond) Sinclair, Robert Jr., Rosanne (David) Roe, Mary Ellen (John) Ammirati, Michele (Michael Bigg) Ferris, and John (Blaise Gomez) Ferris.  He is also survived by 15 grandchildren: Danielle Costanzo, Felix R. and Matthew Versweyveld, Mark and Andrew Sinclair, Robert Ferris III, Alexis and Dillon Ferris, Jason Roe, Jayme Roe, Marie Palatnik, John Ammirati Jr., Angelina Ammirati, John Ferris Jr and Kathryn Ferris and survived by 16 great grandchildren; sister-in-law: Joyce Vesely; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and longtime companion: Margaret Baxter; and the Baxter family.  He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Rose E. Ferris; sisters: Cora Elsie Decker, Leona Mae Doolittle; brothers: Edward Ferris and Courtney Ellison Ferris Jr.

Visitation was held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 13th at Quigley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc., 337 Hudson St. Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY.  A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 14th at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 145 Benkard Avenue, Newburgh, NY. Burial took place in the family plot St. Francis Cemetery.

Daniel Christopher Robert

June 29, 1946—June 3, 2021

Daniel Christopher Robert, 74, of Morehead City, passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at the Crystal Coast Hospice House of Newport.

A memorial service was held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Noe-Brooks Funeral Home in Morehead City. The family received friends following the service. 

Danny is survived by his wife of 48 years, Lorraine Koop Robert; daughter, Stacey Robert of Myrtle Beach, SC; brother, James Weick and wife Allison of PA; sister, Madeline Salvani of Highland Falls, NY; brother-in-law, Charley Koop and wife Dori of New Berlin, NY; and sister-in-law, Bonnie Koop of Garnerville, NY. Danny was the son of Helen and Hubert Kimenau.

He was preceded in death by siblings, Joseph, Kathy, and Eve. 

Danny will be forever remembered by his nieces and nephews that span from coast to coast, as well as his unlikely best buddy, Marvin the cat. 

He was both an avid golfer and fisherman. As long as he was in the sunshine with his family and friends he couldn’t be happier. Danny especially enjoyed golfing with his daughter Stacey.

The family would like to extend its heartfelt appreciation to the phenomenal staff at Crystal Coast Hospice House whose loving and compassionate care gave Danny great comfort in his final days.
