Clayton H. J. Conklin, of Mountainville, NY entered into eternal rest unexpectedly on March 31, 2021. He was 57 years old.
The son of the late George Raymond Conklin and Jacqueline (Gardner) Conklin, Clayton was born on August 23, 1963 in Nyack, NY.
Clayton was self-employed as a Carpenter.
Clayton was a devoted father and an avid sailor. He enjoyed hiking and being in the outdoors. Though he was only on this earth for a short time, he is remembered every day by his family and friends.
In addition to his mother, Clayton is survived by his wife: Christine (Mazzoli) Conklin at home; his son: Cody S. Conklin at home; his sister-in-law: MaryLynn Conklin; his niece: Casey Conklin; and his nephew: Patrick Conklin. Clayton was predeceased by his brother: Scott Conklin.
Memorial Visitation was held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7th at Quigley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc., 337 Hudson Street, Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. Joanne S. Cox

Joanne S. Cox, age 73, passed away unexpectedly on March 25, 2021. Joanne was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to George Sherk and Elizabeth “Betty” Grier. Joanne graduated from West Chester State College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education and was active in many activities and organizations, including being the captain of the Women’s Gymnastics team, Alpha Sigma Alpha, and the Valkyries. Joanne continued her education and graduated from Wake Forest University with a Masters of Arts in Physical Education. Joanne continued to pursue a career in gymnastics and became the first woman head coach at the United States Military Academy for the Women’s Gymnastics team.
Joanne was married to Joe Cox for 19 years, and they are the parents of Matt and Ansley. After raising her two children, Joanne returned to teaching and coaching. She taught physical education in the West Point, Highland Falls, and Fort Montgomery school districts, and founded the women’s lacrosse team at James I O’Neill High School. Through these efforts she was able to continue to coach and influence many of the families within the local community.
Joanne was an active member of the Cornwall Presbyterian Church, serving as a Deacon and teaching confirmation classes. She also shared her love of gardening as a member of the Cornwall Garden Club.
Joanne lived a life of love and compassion. She always put others needs ahead of her own. Joanne walked in many circles and left a positive impact on all of those she encountered.
Joanne was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her sister; Virginia Williams; son, Matt Cox and his wife Cassi Chouinard; daughter, Ansley Cox and her husband Sidney Gantt; grandsons Finn and Norman; and granddaughters, Korra and Huntley.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at William F. Hogan Funeral Home, 135 Main Street, Highlands Falls. A celebration of life will take place outdoors at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, April 9, 2021 at the Sands-Ring Homestead, 180 Main Street, Cornwall.
