Theresa L. Haase, a former long-time resident of Cornwall, entered into eternal rest on Sept. 17, at her residence. She was 91.
The daughter of the late Porfirio Islas and Carmen Islas, she was born on June 25, 1929 in the borough of Manhattan. She was predeceased by her husband: Fred J. Haase in 1977.
Theresa was retired after working as a bookkeeper in the Finance and Accounting Department at U.S.M.A., West Point.
She was an active member of the St. Thomas of Canterbury Church. She will be missed greatly.
Theresa is survived by her daughters, Teri L. King of Cornwall, Karen L. Haase of Wallkill and Suzanne L. Haase of Wallkill; six grandchildren, John, Chanelle, Timothy, Kevin, Nicole and Clarissa; and a great-grandson, Jase.
A Mass of Catholic Burial will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 25 at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, 340 Hudson Street, Cornwall-on-Hudson. Interment will follow the Mass at West Point Cemetery, West Point.
