Alan Hamill, 61, passed away unexpectedly on June 1 at his residence in Wylie, Texas.
Alan was born in Fort Campbell, Kent. to parents Ken and Yasuko Hamill. He graduated with the Class of 1975 from James I. O’Neill High School in Highland Falls. Alan graduated from West Point in 1980 and served in the Army as an artillery officer. He worked for many years in the Dallas, Texas area.
Surviving Alan is his son, David Hamill and David’s mother Michelle Hamill of Rockwall, Tex.; father Ken Hamill of Columbus, Ga.; brother Neil Hamill and wife Helga of Shrewsbury, Penn.; brother Paul Hamill and wife Kristin of Schenectady; nephew Patrick Hamill and nieces Elizabeth Hamill and Michelle Hamill.
Erin M. Kearns

Erin M. Kearns, of New Windsor passed away unexpectedly on Sept. 3 at her home. She was 41 years old.
The daughter of Dennis J. Kearns and Patricia (Carroll) Kearns of Cornwall, Erin was born on Jan. 25, 1978 in Reading, Penn. She was a lifetime area resident.
Erin graduated from Cornwall Central High School in 1996 and then went on to earn her Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from John Jay College. She was an associate at Hannaford Supermarket in Vails Gate.
Erin was smart, funny, and kind to everyone she met. She loved to laugh and make others laugh. She was loved by her friends and family. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing pool and solving puzzles. She always looked forward to spending time on Lake George. She will be missed greatly.
In addition to her parents, Erin is survived by her sister: Kelly E. (Kearns) Rourke and her husband Thomas of Cornwall; her brother Ryan P. Kearns and his wife Jessica of Monroe; her sister Larissa (Leal) Goncalves and her husband Rafael; and adoring nieces and nephews Thomas, Colleen, Kevin, Finley, Teagan, Liam, Grace, Luisa and Gisela.
Visitation was held on Sunday, Sept. 8 at Quigley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc., in Cornwall-on-Hudson. A chapel service was held at the funeral home on Sept. 9. Cremation was due to take place at Cedar Hill Crematory in Middle Hope.

Denise Sayer Ross

Port St. Lucie, Fla.
Denise Sayer Ross, a former resident of Highland Falls, died on July 29 in Port St. Lucie, Fla. She was 59.
The daughter of Eileen and the late Ross Sayer, she was a graduate of O’Neill High School.
She is survived by her two adult children, Kyle and Chelsea Ross, and her mother Eileen, all of Port St. Lucie; and her sisters Holly Gill (Steve) of Vacaville, Calif. and April Feldman (Fred) of Jupiter, Fla.
