Residents who live in the Angola Road, Cedar Lane, and Wilson Place area and either receive water through private water lines or wells, there will be a special meeting at 7 p.m. tonight in Village Hall to discuss the option of tapping into the municipal water system. An engineering report is being completed, but Water Department Superintendent Mike Trainor said the project could cost upwards of $600,000 to complete. A benefit district would be created and property owners who agree to tap into the water main would be charged a property tax. Trainor added the town and village are seeking an inter-municipal grant to lower the cost. He said the more homeowners who agree to the project, the lower the cost per property owner.
