New York Military Academy is celebrating its 130th anniversary with a free event on Sunday, Sept. 15. The itinerary includes a meet and greet, with coffee and Danish served, at 9:30, guest speakers honoring NYMA’s long history at 10:30, and a parade at 11:30 a.m. Starting at 12:30 p.m., guests can enjoy a barbecue, entertainment, games, and music. Activities include: a bounce house, cornhole/frisbee, ping pong, henna tattoos and face painting, paint your own pumpkin, tug of war, rope challenge, dress like a cadet station, archery station, and more.

Founder joins Girls on the Run anniversary celebration
Seeing a man and woman standing apart from the crowd at NYMA on Saturday morning, Molly Barker introduced herself to Senator and Mrs. Larkin. She told them that she was the founder of Girls on the Run, and had come from North Carolina to help the Hudson Valley Chapter celebrate its fifth anniversary.
