Clinton James Bandura

July 6, 1989 – June 5, 2019

Formerly of Cornwall

Clinton James Bandura of Colorado Springs, Col. entered into rest on Wednesday, June 5. He was 29.

The son of Richard and Elsie Hom Bandura, he was born on July 6, 1989 in Mineola.

Clinton was a 2007 graduate of Cornwall Central High School. He was an avid Rangers fan, and loved playing hockey. He played for the Bear Mountain Bears, the West Point Jr. Black Knights, Ice Time and the Cornwall Dragons hockey team.

Clinton was a loving son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend and he will be deeply missed.

Survivors include: his parents, Richard and Elsie; his sister, Jaclyn Podob and husband Evan; uncles: Richard Hom and wife Patricia; Scott Bandura and son Wyatt; cousins Kimberly and Kelly Thompson.

Visitation was held on Saturday, June 15 at James F. Lulves Funeral Home in Cornwall-on-Hudson. A prayer service was held during visitation.

Doris J. (See) Conklin

April 14, 1933-June 8, 2019

Garrison

Doris J. Conklin (See), formerly of Garrison, passed away peacefully on June 8.

Doris was born on April 14, 1933. Daughter of Margaret and Jesse See, she grew up in Peekskill, where she met her husband, John Conklin. After they wed, they moved to Garrison.

Doris was a homemaker and then later, worked for the Grand Union Corporation in Cold Spring for several years. She was passionate about bingo, crafts, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.

Predeceased by her husband, John Conklin and twin sister, Dottie Olson of Ponce Inlet, Fla. Survivors include her four children; Dorothy Conklin, LuAnne Pfeil (Church Jr.), John Conklin Jr., Kelly Conklin Manning and grandchildren: Church, James, Chelsea, and Rachel. There will be a private service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The New York Veterans Home at Montrose 2090 Albany Post Rd. Montrose, New York 10548. Todd A. Larsen

August 27, 1970 – June 13, 2019

Schwenksville, Penn.

Todd A. Larsen, 48, of Schwenksville died Thursday, June 13 from injuries sustained from a work related accident. He was the husband of Jodie (Buckwalter) Larsen, to whom he was married for 20 years.

Born August 27, 1970 in Hornell, NY, he was the son of Gerald and Joyce (Temple) Larsen. Todd was a graduate of Cornwall Central High School. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Chemistry from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry.

Todd enjoyed working at the Family Camping Center in Pottstown as an RV technician. He loved camping throughout his childhood and continued camping with his wife and son. Before making this career change, he worked at Merck in Radiation Safety. Todd volunteered his time serving as an active member on the Schwenksville Borough Council. He loved his camper and his big red truck, and tooted his air horns at every opportunity. He was a loving father, husband, and son and will be fondly remembered by his family and friends.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his son Eric Larsen and his sister Sarah C. Larsen.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Monday June 24, from 2-4 p.m. at the R. L. Williams, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. Skippack Pike at Cedars Rd. Skippack. Katherine M. Matthews

November 4, 1945 – June 13, 2019

Katherine M. Matthews, of Monroe, entered into eternal rest on June 13 at Sapphire Nursing and Rehabilitation at Goshen, Goshen, NY. She was 73 years old.

The daughter of the late Frank Cline and Dorothy (McMillan) Cline, Katherine was born on Nov. 4, 1945 in Newburgh. She grew up in Cornwall, where she also owned a restaurant (Kathy’s Place) for many years.

Katherine devoted the last thirty years of her life to caring and doting on her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was always planning the next party. She enjoyed baking her own cakes for all the parties. She looked forward to visits from all her grandchildren and made the most of these visits.

In addition to her loving husband William, Katherine is survived by her daughters: Terry C. Kirkland of Wurtsboro, Cynthia M. Lybolt of Walden, and Paula K. Lewis of Wallkill; her son: William P. Matthews, Jr. of Monroe; 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; her sisters: Janet Caffrey, Florence Cline and Mary Brewer; and her brother: Frank Cline.

Visitation was held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Thursday, June 21 at Quigley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc., 337 Hudson St. Cornwall-On-Hudson. It was due to be followed by a graveside service at Bethlehem Cemetery, 1520 Route 94, New Windsor.

Joseph K. Trainor Sr.

April 1, 1929 – June 11, 2019

Cornwall-on-Hudson

Joseph K. Trainor, Sr. of Cornwall-on-Hudson entered into rest on June 11, passing peacefully with his family by his side. He was 90.

The son of the late William and Mary Melee Trainor, he was born on April 1, 1929 in Cornwall.

Joe was a retired New York State Park Police Sergeant at Bear Mountain State Park. He proudly served our country during World War II as a member of the United States Army. He was the longest living member of Storm King Fire Engine Co. #2 at the time of his passing, having served for 70 years. He was an Ex-Chief of the Company, as well as a Charter Member of the Storm King Volunteer & Exempt Firemen’s Benevolent Association. Joe served as Past Commodore of the Cornwall Yacht Club and was a member of the New Windsor American Legion. He was a longtime associate of James F. Lulves Funeral Home.

Survivors include: his former wife and best friend, Ann Trainor; sons: Christopher Trainor; William Trainor and his wife Carmelina, all of Wallkill; grandchildren: Jaclyn Schultz and husband Conor; Christopher Trainor, Jr. and partner Nicole; great-grandchildren: Conor and Joey; nephews: William Trainor and wife Tina; Michael Trainor and wife Jennifer; great nieces and nephews: Michael, Thomas, Zoe and Tina.

He was predeceased by daughter, Rosanne Lenaghen, son Joseph Trainor, Jr., sister Catherine Trainor and brothers Thomas and William Trainor.

Visitation was on Monday, June 17 at James F. Lulves Funeral Home in Cornwall-on-Hudson. A funeral service was held on June 18 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery.
