Lia Ann Berardinelli of New Windsor, entered into eternal rest on March 16, at her home. She was 13 years old.
The daughter of Richard M. Berardinelli and Amber J. (Savasta) Berardinelli, Lia was born on Jan. 7, 2006 in Suffern.
She was a seventh grade Student at Cornwall Central Middle School in Cornwall. Lia was an active dancer at Step by Step Dance Studio, in Cornwall-on-Hudson since she was 3 ½. She was also an active member of The Upper Room, Youth Center of Highland Mills/Cornwall area.
“Lia was beautiful, lively and talented,” her family said, “a kind and gentle soul. She always wanted the best for her family and friends. She was a beacon of light and would want all of us to push forward to always pursue our hopes and dreams. May her spirit live on through her friends and loved ones. She will be missed greatly.”
In addition to her parents, Lia is survived by her siblings: Gina M. Scott M. and Lucca V. Berardinelli at home; her maternal grandmother: Ruth Smith; her paternal grandparents: Louis and Diane Berardinelli. She is also survived by her aunts Christine Berardinelli and Cynthia Savasta; her uncles Charles, Jamie and, Joseph Savasta and her cousins. Lia was predeceased by her maternal grandfather George Savasta.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 22 at Grace Community Church, 2839 State Route 94, Washingtonville. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 23 at the Church. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, 93 Union Avenue, New Windsor.

Wayne Francis Haddock

Wayne Francis Haddock, 41 of Chesapeake, Va., passed away at home on March 15. Born in Norfolk, he was the son of the late Mary Murphy Haddock.
Wayne graduated from Cornwall Central High School in 1996 and The University of Hartford in 2000. He was a carpenter by trade and loved working with his hands. He is remembered as a kind and gentle soul. He always had a smile on his face and enjoyed making others laugh. He touched many people from high school to present day and will be fondly remembered.
Survivors include his father Jerry Wayne Haddock, his brother Robert J. Haddock sister-in-law Jenny Haddock and nephew James Haddock, and his daughter Lilyann Bascomb whom he loved dearly.
Wayne is also survived by his Uncles James Francis Murphy III and Leeland Haddock, Aunts Becki Sentell, Cecelia Shake and Tammy Haddock, cousins James Austin, Kaitlin Haddock and Kasey Haddock. He is also survived by many, dear friends.
A memorial service was conducted on Wednesday March 20 at the Chesapeake Chapel of H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking a donation be made to a charity of choice.
Janet R. Traver

Janet R. Traver of Cornwall-on-Hudson entered into rest on Wednesday, March 13. She was 91.
The daughter of the late David and Susan Keevill Ralph, Sr., she was born on Sept. 22, 1927 in Cornwall.
Janet was a machinist at Star Expansion in Mountainville. In her retirement, you could find her in the kitchen making cakes or candies – or crocheting kitchen towels, which everyone loved.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend and she will be deeply missed.
Survivors include: sons Brian Traver, James Traver, Jr. and wife Kim; daughters: Peggi Morgan-Watts and husband Rich, Dyann Krayewsky and husband Andrew; grandchildren: Jason and Karl Morgan; Randee Martinez, Tricia Lake, James Traver, Tyler and Brendan Krayewsky; nine great-grandchildren, and sister Constance Collins. She was predeceased by her husband, James Traver, and brothers David and Donald Ralph.
A Memorial Visitation was held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 28 at James F. Lulves Funeral Home, 9 Avenue A, Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY. Services are private and at the convenience of the family.
