Highland Falls

Mafalda A. McKinna passed away Sunday, Dec. 24 at St. Anthony’s Community Hospital, Warwick. She was 94 years old.

Daughter of the late John and Antoinetta Martinisi Pelella, she was born Jan. 9, 1923 in Walden.  Mafalda was the widow of William C. McKinna. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church of Highland Falls, and a member of the Catholic Daughter’s of America Court 201 of Highland Falls.

Survivors include her sons Harold Lamica of Highland Falls and Gary Lamica and wife Terese of New Windsor; her daughter Linda Lamica-Ciccarelli of Highland Falls; her sister Martha Dunn of Highland Falls; her five grandchildren, Robert (Karyn) and James (Jill) DiSalvo, Steven, Laura and Alyssa Lamica; and her three great-grandchildren, Luke, Joseph and Peter.

Visitation was due to be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 28 at William F. Hogan Funeral Home, 135 Main St., Highland Falls.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 29 at Sacred Heart Church, 353 Main St., Highland Falls.  Interment will follow in Peacedale Cemetery in Highland Falls.
