Louis John Miller

Lou John Miller, also known as “Butch,” of New Windsor, entered into eternal rest on Nov. 14 at his home. He was 73 years old.
The son of the late Louis John Miller and Adelia Ann (Cargain) Miller, Lou was born on Sept. 23, 1944 in Bridgeport, Conn.
Lou was retired from the Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson Water Dept.; he was also a retired bus driver for West Point Tours Inc. in Vails Gate, a job that brought him much pride and joy. His co-workers and employers were dear friends, and he always considered them family.
Lou honorably and proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He had a soul that longed to explore; he had a true passion for travelling with his beloved wife Carol and his companion Mr. Foxie (his dog).
Lou is survived by his loving wife Carol A. (Kopec) Miller at home; his stepson Ryan J. Chilliemi of New Windsor; and his sister Linda Lord of Massachusetts as well as many other beloved family members.
His family received visitors on Nov. 19 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home in Cornwall-on-Hudson. Inurnment took place at a graveside service on Nov. 20 at Orange County Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Goshen.
