Bernice P. Gill

Bernice P. Gill, of Cornwall-on-Hudson entered into eternal rest on Dec. 22, at Wingate of Dutchess, Fishkill.
Born in Kingston, N.Y. to Frederick and Mable Jankowski, she was 93 years old. Bernice was married to Vincent J. Gill, who predeceased her in 1981.
Bernice was a member of St. Thomas of Canterbury Church and an active member of Catholic Daughters of America. Earlier in her life, Bernice was employed by Ladycliff College and Highland Falls Library. She was a true New York Yankees fan and loved watching their games (except for when they were playing on the West Coast). Life would not have been complete without the Tuesday Card Players whom she enjoyed very much.
Bernice is survived by her sons, Joseph (Janet) Gill of Cornwall-on-Hudson, Michael Gill (Patricia deceased) of New Fairfield, Conn., Steve (Holly) Gill of Vacaville, Calif.; one brother, Frank (Peggy) Jankowski of Kingston; four grandchildren, Stacey (Corry) Albericci of New Jersey, Danae, Alex and Lauren Gill all living in California; and one great-grandchild, Emma Albericci. In addition to her husband, mother and father, she was predeceased by her siblings, Jack, Fred, Donald Jankowski and Doloris Brown. Her extended family includes Lance, James (Tara), Payton, Kole O’Dell and Taylor Esposito.
Visitation was held on Dec. 28 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, in Cornwall-on-Hudson. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on, Dec. 29 at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church in Cornwall-on-Hudson and was followed by Interment at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Kingston.
Doris A. Miller

Doris A. Miller, of Cornwall passed away on Dec. 23 at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh with her family by her side. She was 95 years old.
The daughter of Harry and Dorothy Lint Martin, Doris was born on Feb. 25, 1921 in Nemacolin, Penn.
She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother.
For many years she was a volunteer at Cornwall Hospital. She enjoyed her weekly card games with her friends and will be greatly missed.
Doris was predeceased by her loving husband, Herman H. Miller. She is survived by children Rodney Miller of Cornwall, John and wife Barbara Miller of Hampden, MASS., and Peter Miller of Cornwall-on-Hudson; and her three grandchildren, predeceased by one grandson.
Her family received visitors on Tuesday, Dec. 27 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home in Cornwall-on-Hudson. A funeral service was held at the funeral home at the end of visiting hours, and was followed by interment at St. Thomas Cemetery in Cornwall.
