Elizabeth Connor
February 27, 1956-December 3, 2016
Elizabeth Connor of Cornwall entered into eternal rest on Dec. 3 at New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. She was 60 years old.
Elizabeth is the daughter of the late John and Helen Foy. She was born on Feb. 27, 1956 in Rockaway Beach, Queens. She was a member of the St. Thomas of Canterbury Church in Cornwall-on-Hudson.
Bettie lived in Cornwall for more than 40 years and truly loved the quaintness and beauty of this little, as she would call it, “Norman Rockwell Town.” She loved spending time down by the river to gaze at the marvel and beauty of the mountains. She was an extremely spiritual woman. God’s light always came shining through her as she always put others before herself. She loved taking care of the elderly and listening to their words of wisdom. Her passion and love in life was her family. She will be greatly missed.
Elizabeth is survived by her loving husband Daniel M. “Danny” Connor; stepson Sean; and her siblings John Foy (Margaret), Patrick Foy (Kitty), Edward Foy (Ronnie), Thomas Foy (Linda), Mary Lardner (Thomas), and Theresa O’Gara (John). She is also survived by thirteen nieces and nephews, fifteen great nieces and nephews, and one great great niece. Elizabeth was predeceased by her son Sean Dumas.
Her family received visitors on Dec. 6 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home in Cornwall-on-Hudson. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Dec. 7 at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church in Cornwall-on-Hudson and was followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor.
